Covid-19 Response

The safety of Triathlon Nova Scotia’s members, staff and volunteers is at the forefront of our response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We follow all Public Health directives, as well as further guidance from Triathlon Canada.

All sanctioned club practices and events, if allowed under the prevailing Public Health orders, follow TNS’s Sport Nova Scotia approved Return to Play policy (TriNS-return-to-sport.pdf) as well as Triathlon Canada’s Return to Sport/Community Events guidelines

Adhering to all guidelines and safety precautions is Triathlon Nova Scotia’s priority under current safety measures amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Rebuilding sport safely in Canada following the pandemic is vital, and TNS believes that it is the responsibility of all coaches and athletes to understand, review, and follow safety precautions laid out by the federal and provincial government regarding sport gatherings. We understand that not following health guidelines puts forth grave risk amidst the pandemic, and will prioritize adhering to said guidelines and safety measures with the knowledge that TNS athletes and coaches represent our province and country through sport. TNS aims to be a role model and positive leader, and when we are back to “normal” triathlon procedures together it will be in safe fashion, after responsibly following safety precautions at all times.
